Burr Tor Hillfort, overlooks the limestone plateau between Eyam and Hazelbridge, stands at 396m (1300ft) above sea level and is also one of the regions larger hillforts. It was recognised as a hillfort as early as 1792.

The site also known as Camphill is the landing ground of the Derbyshire and Lancashire Gliding club.
